Behind the Scenes of Harvard Athletics Multimedia
CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – Go behind the scenes of Harvard Athletics Multimedia with Connor Coyne, former Assistant Director of Multimedia and Production, as he creates content for the Harvard Crimson football team ahead of their Senior Day game against Penn Quakers Football.
Connor joined Harvard Athletics as a Multimedia Video Production Intern and in 2018 became Assistant Director of Multimedia and Production. Connor and the rest of the Crimson Multimedia staff is responsible for covering Harvard Athletics sports, and building content for live production & social media. Nowadays, having a media team to cover the student athletes is crucial for college athletic programs. A media team gets the respective sports team or overall college program on the map across social media, but it also allows for student athletes to have their own voice and personality to showcase that. Connor said, “I think it is important to have a creative media department to show these student athletes, specially now because if you don’t have that then you are a step behind everyone else”.
